I finally finished this! I started it pretty much as soon as I heard about the contest, but it's taken me this long to get it done... Actually I only did the outline of the eye and then I just sat down and did the whole thing tonight.

So, this was the first time I've used color in one of my drawings. I'm pretty happy with how it came out. I liked the idea of only having color in the eye becuase I think it adds to the wonder of all the posibilities in the world. My parents have always told me I can do whatever I want with my life and so they opened up the whole universe for me and I just wanted to reflect that with this piece, because you can do anything/go anywhere if you are willing to look and go for it.

For :icongabbyd70:'s contest.

Anyway, it took about 3.5 hrs. using a mechanical .7mm pencil, 6B regular pencil, and prismacolor colored pencils, erasers, tortillons, etc.

Thanks :D I hope I do well, but even if I don't, it was a lot of fun coming up with the idea and drawing this and I'm very pleased with the result.
